What an incredible experience this Construction Safety Week has been! We partnered with our subcontractors and vendors to feature learning opportunities through toolbox talks, vendor and site fall protection demonstrations, equipment inspections, PPE safety stress tests and innovative tool design presentations. Our teams went all-in to make this a truly celebratory week and recognized our dedicated and safety-conscious employee owners and trade partners with giveaways and lots of food!

It is so important to maintain a consistent and controlled emphasis on safety and commit to a continuous focus on safe choices. It is up to each of us to use our individual strong voices when we see an unsafe act or condition, and to set a great example to others by always making the safest choice possible.

Let’s all take the momentum gained over the past week to fuel our safety actions in the coming year. Until next year … work safely and have fun!

Check out some of the photos from our Construction Safety Week:

Safety is a foundation of PC. We prove this each day by putting people first – building stronger, together.

It is important that our employee owners put the same emphasis on safety both on and off the job. Whether they are engaging with their families on vacation or putting work in place for our clients, safety mindfulness can make the difference. To support that effort, it is important that PC provides a supportive team, training and resources, and encouragement to do our best every day. This is at the core of our safety culture. I am proud to say our teams are some of the best and set the bar for newcomers to both PC and the construction industry.

I am excited to kick off Construction Safety Week. This week we celebrate all of our employee owners and trade partners who work together to promote the value of safe work practices on our jobsites. We look forward to exciting learning opportunities and team building events, all which carry forward to serve as the foundation for our daily actions. By focusing on safety every single day, we make decisions that result in a safe and healthy team.

Today we kick off Construction Safety Week. This week, construction firms across the U.S. and Canada will work together to educate our industry and build awareness about construction safety.

This year’s focus is on a holistic approach to safety. Safety is about more than PPE and the policies and practices we have in place to protect our teams. There are so many other elements that factor into every action we take. Outside stressors and distractions can cause us to lose focus from what is most important – the task at hand. A physically and mentally safe environment allows everyone on site to be their safest and most productive selves, and this so critical to our everyday success, and to the wellbeing of our people.

Being a member of the PC team – whether employee, subcontractor, or client – means you accept responsibility for yourself and for everyone on our sites. It is a team effort, and a team success. This week is a celebration of the people of our industry and their commitment to each other.

Stay tuned on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn channels to learn how we are making the most of this week to educate, share, collaborate, and celebrate!

Today kicks off the celebration of Construction Safety Week. While safety is a focus every moment of every day on the jobsite, this celebration brings together construction firms from across the U.S. and Canada to educate our industry and build awareness about construction safety.

This year’s theme of Built on Safety aligns perfectly with PC’s values and how we approach every project. Construction is a challenging business and safety is a critical component – one that affects all our project team members. Safety is personal. And that’s why at PC our goal is to send each person home safely every day. Like every construction firm, we have many protocols in place to guide our safety culture. At PC, we involve all our employee-owners and trade partners in the process – everyone plays a part in maintaining a safe work environment. BUILDING STRONGER, TOGETHER.

Being a member of the PC team – whether employee, subcontractor, or client – means you accept responsibility for yourself and for everyone on our sites. It is a team effort, and a team success. This week is really a celebration of the people of our industry and their commitment to each other.

Stay tuned on our Facebook and Twitter channels to learn how we are making the most of this week to educate, share, collaborate, and celebrate!
